The Hangover Effect

Hangovers come in all shapes and sizes.  They can start with “just one” after work, a planned shenanigan filled evening with your friends, wedding receptions, and so on.  But what is a hangover?  A hangover is a collection of signs and symptoms linked to a recent bout of heavy drinking. The sufferer typically has drowsiness, concentration problems, dry mouth, dizziness, gastro-intestinal complaints, sweating, nausea, hyper-excitability, and anxiety and dehydration. Hangovers can occur at any time of day, but are usually more common the morning after a night of heavy drinking.  Alcohol decreases the body’s production of anti-diuretic hormone, which is used by the body to reabsorb water. With less anti-diuretic hormone available, your body loses more fluid than normal through increased urination.  Hydration is key so why is it so hard to get hydrated even when chugging water?  It is because the time it takes to reach your bloodstream and to actively begin the healing process.  Not when you use IV hydration though.  At Recharge I.V. we come to you, in the comfort of your home, office, hotel room, or by the pool.  Our skilled technicians will set up, and administer the IV for you as you sit back, relax, recover, and get ready for that important meeting, or round two of the bachelor/bachelorette party weekend.  Contact us today!
